At age five, her life was turned upside down, when she suffered third degree burns. These burns were so severe she was placed in a coma for three weeks as doctors treated her torso, neck and face at Westmead Hosptial.

Today, we travel out to Coonamble to capture the story of one brave girl, Amarni.

Amarni and her family have used the Little Wings services for many years... working with Westmead Childrens to help heal from a serious burn injury to three quarters of her body as a 4 year old girl.

Today, she shares her jounrey, with the ongoing need for surgeries, skin graphs and appointments.

We were privileged to hear her story, to spend time with her family and learn about the heartache, strength and love that this family have endured and share. Because when a child is a seriously ill, the entire family must rally to ensure their recovery.
