The addition of a 4th plane, the collaboration of 95 volunteers (comprising 30 pilots, 55 drivers, and 10 support staff), and the completion of 2061 missions in 2023 financial year showcased the tremendous impact of our collective efforts. We also expanded our operations to Archfield, QLD, marking a significant milestone in our quest to make a difference.

Meet Declan
A resilient 4-year-old from the charming town of Mudgee. Today marks a significant milestone, as a VIP traveller, we have watched Declan grow.
Born with spinal issues that affect his mobility, Declan's journey is a testament to the transformative impact of the Little Wings service on the lives of children facing medical challenges. Declan's life revolves around routine medical treatments at Westmead Children's Hospital, where he receives essential care for his spinal muscular atrophy (SMA).
Every four months, he undergoes a crucial procedure involving the administration of SPINRAZA, a prescription medicine injecting SMN2 Protein into his system. This treatment significantly aids in enhancing his motor skills, offering hope for a more independent future. Additionally, Declan has undergone gene therapy, a groundbreaking treatment recently approved in Australia in 2023.
Capturing the essence of Declan's incredible journey is a heartwarming video documenting a monumental moment – his first steps on Monday, 20th November 2023. A week later, he is seen confidently walking on his way to Westmead Children's Hospital. This remarkable progress not only left his family in awe but also deeply touched the entire Little Wings team. A heartfelt thank you extends to your organisation, whose unwavering support makes stories like Declan's possible.
Your generosity has not only facilitated his medical journey but has also provided his family with the opportunity to make crucial appointments on time, avoiding travel fatigue, financial stress of travel, opportunity to get home safe and quickly.
